In the center, within a concentric circle over three ondulated lines that symbolize the three stripes of the flag, bust of Simon Bolivar facing right with "BARRE" below (from the original engraver). Surrounding the field, "BOLÍVAR" - "LIBERTADOR" at right and eight stars representing the eight ancient provinces of Venezuela at left.
