Characteristics from Design A, Type A
  • Identification Code: mv10r-aa
  • General: Circular shape with continous oblique grained edge. Circular shape with continous oblique grained edge.
  • Obverse: Circular rim with dentacles beading. In the center, over the field, bust of General José Antonio Páez looking at left. Surrounding the field, the legend "CIUDADANO" on the left and "ESCLARECIDO" on the right. Below the effigy, a bee, "BARRE" and an anchor.
  • Reverse: Circular rim with dentacles beading. In the center, over the field, within a laurel wreath linked from the bottom the face value "10" / "REALES" and the year. Surrounding the field, the legend "REPUBLICA DE VENEZUELA" «Republic of Venezuela». In the exergue the mintmark "A" from París.
  • Circulation note: This coins never circulated, and most of them was melted. Some coins survived from this melting. The approximated amount of survived pieces are about 200 coins.
