  • Obverse: Circular rim with dentacles beading. In the center, over the field 50th Aniversary Logo of the Banco Central de Venezuela, with the legends "BANCO CENTRAL DE VENEZUELA" «Central Bank of Venezuela»on the top and "ANIVERSARIO 1940-1990" on the bottom.
  • Reverse: Circular rim with dentacles beading. In the center, over the field Front of the first building of Banco Central de Venezuela with the leyend at left "VEROES Y JESUITAS" (address of the building). Surrounding the field, the legend "PRIMERA SEDE DEL" and "BANCO CENTRAL" on the top, and on the bottom the metallic millesimal fineness "LEY 900", the weight "15,55 GRS", the face value "50 BOLÍVARES ORO" and "1990".
