- Obverse: Design with portrait orientation. On the top, "REPÚBLICA BOLIVARIANA DE VENEZUELA" «Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela». Below, the denomination value "100", the denomination in words "CIEN BOLÍVARES" «one hundred Bolívares», the date, the payment clause "PAGADEROS AL PORTADOR EN LAS OFICINAS DEL BANCO" «Payments to the Bearier in the Offices of the Bank» and the signers. At right, watermarks zone. On the bottom, portrait of Simon Bolivar, the diplomatic, based on the painting by Rita Matilde de la Peñuela (AITA) done in 1860, with the denomination value "100". The serial numbers are located at upper right and bottom left rotated 90 degrees clock-wise.
- Reverse: Design with landscape orientation. In the center, over the field Black-hooded Red Siskin (Carduelis cucullata) with Avila Hill as background. On the right, watermarks zone. On the top left, the issuer name "BANCO CENTRAL DE VENEZUELA" «Central Bank of Venezuela». On the left, Coat of Arms. On the bottom right, the denomination value "100" and the denomination in words "CIEN BOLÍVARES" «one hundred Bolívares».
- Some security elements: diving holographic security thread in 5 windows with "BCV 100", "BCV 100", "BCV 100" and "BCV 100" (in front of light); watermarks, secondary security thread, invisible ink (ultraviolet) and see-through perfect print registration. On the obverse "100" on the top with Optically Variable Ink (OVI) and latent image "100" on the bottom.

- Description: This is an strange piece that came from circulation and it's hard to figure out piece whether is a print proof or an error.
Maybe this piece was a serial print test because it have maybe 6 serial numbers, four from prefix E (probable numbers E4,5/7,6/7/2,8,2/6/8,2/6/8,5/8,3/5/8) and two from prefix G (G16237777 and G16??8888). Also it has an strange square at left of each serie which is not present in a normal piece.
This piece maybe is an error even unlikely, which a sheet of paper was stuck several times and the serial printer also had a problem at the same time.
