Obverse: On the upper left corner, the country name "REPÚBLICA BOLIVARIANA DE VENEZUELA" «Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela». A la derecha de la watermarks zone, existe un parche impresos con Optically Variable Ink (OVI). Design in red. On the right, portrait of José María Vargas by Martín Tovar y Tovar in 1875. In the center, the denomination value "50000" with the denomination in words "CINCUENTA MIL BOLIVARES" splitted in two parts and the payment clause "PAGADEROS AL PORTADOR EN LAS OFICINAS DEL BANCO" «Payments to the Bearier in the Offices of the Bank» below. On the left, watermarks zone. In each corner but bottom left corner the denomination value "50000".
Reverse: Design in red. In the center, Rector's square and Clock of the Central University of Venezuela (UCV), flower of the National tree Araguaney (Tabebuia chrysantha), and Coat of Arms. On the top left, the issuer name "BANCO CENTRAL DE VENEZUELA" «Central Bank of Venezuela». In the bottom right corner,, the denomination in words "CINCUENTA MIL BOLIVARES". On the bottom left and upper right corners, the denomination value "50000".
Circulation note: This note began circulation on October 16th 2006.
Design variations in the obverse: The design is similar to Design A, Type A, changing the leyend "BANCO CENTRAL DE VENEZUELA" «Central Bank of Venezuela» to "REPÚBLICA BOLIVARIANA DE VENEZUELA" «Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela». The windowed thread is thicker, a box with "50MIL" was added in the watermarks, the shape of the security feature printed with Optically Variable Ink (OVI) was changed.
Design variations in the reverse: From Design A, Type A, with the printer name added.
Signatures: "Presidente" «President» and "Primer Vice presidente" «First Vicepresident»
