  • Obverse: Circular rim with dot beading. In the center, over the field, the face value "12 1/2" / "CENTIMOS" within two laurel wreaths of 12 leaves and 18 berries, both linked from the bottom.
  • Reverse: Circular rim with dot beading. In the center, over the field, body of the Coat of Arms with a horse stand up toward the right looking at left (from the viewer's perspective). Above, seven stars (the fourth one being the center and bigger), that represents the seven provinces that signed the Venezuelan Declaration of Independence. Surrounding the field, the country name "REPUBLICA DE VENEZUELA" «Republic of Venezuela». In the exergue, the year.
  • Circulation note: This coin never was on circulation. After the coin was minted, the authority of the Central Bank of Venezuela noticed the difficulty of having coins with fractional value.
