Characteristics from Design B, Type B
  • Identification Code: mv50cts-bb
  • General: Circular shape with continous grained edge.
  • Obverse: Circular rim with dentacles beading. In the center, over the field, bust of Simon Bolivar facing left (from the viewer's perspective), with "BARRE" below (from the original engraver), surrounded by the legends "Bolívar" at left and "LIBERTADOR" at right.
  • Reverse: Circular rim with dentacles beading. In the center, body of the Coat of Arms, with the inscription "REPUBLICA DE VENEZUELA" «Republic of Venezuela». In the exergue, the face value "50 CENTIMOS" and the year.
  • Variations: The design is the same to Design B, Type A, with a new metallic composition.
  • Composition: Nickel clad steel (90% steel, 10% nickel)
